Truck Company Roof Operations

This course is designed to provide personnel with extensive hands-on evolutions that will consist of Truck Company Roof Operations. This will include Street Smart portable ladders, peaked and flat roof operations, hand tools, cutting operations with rotary and chain saws, roof operations from aerial apparatus, and several techniques for short-staffed crews.

Engine Company Operations

This course is designed to provide personnel with an evening lecture on basic engine company operations and an extensive day of hands-on evolutions that will consist of Engine Company Operations. This will include hoseline deployment, hoseline advancing (1st floor, over ladders, rope raises, staircase advances), and nozzle practices.?

Engine / Truck Hands-On Training?

This course is designed to provide personnel with extensive hands-on evolutions that will include Engine Company operations such as basic pre-connected hoseline operations, 2 ?? hoseline operations, hose movement to upper floors, standpipe hook-ups and operations, extended hose stretches, multiple hoseline operations, and live fire attack as an operating engine company. The Truck Company portion of the course will include portable ladders, search techniques, ventilation / roof operations, vent, enter, search techniques, and several techniques for short-staffed crews.

Firefighter Safety & Survival

This course is designed to provide the firefighter with tested and time proven techniques to prevent or escape a firefighter injury or fatality. The course includes a 4 hour lecture as well as 8 hours of hands on training. Evolutions will include FF Disorientation, Breaching, Disentanglement, Rapid upper floor window exits, Reduced Profiling methods, and a Mask Confidence Course. Every active interior firefighter is recommended to take this training!

Large Caliber Hoseline Operations

This course is designed to provide personnel with an evening lecture on engine company operations involving large caliber hoselines and an extensive day of hands-on evolutions that will consist of large caliber hoseline evolutions. This will include different 2 ?? and 3? hose loads, stretches, hoseline advancing (1st floor, over ladders, rope raises, staircase advances), nozzle practices, and portable monitor evolutions.?

Basic Extrication

This course combines a 3 hour lecture with 1 day of hands on evolutions. The lecture includes safety @MVA?s, vehicle construction, types of tools, vehicle extrication procedures, stabilization, and victim removal procedures. The hands-on training consists of scene safety, stabilization, and basic extrication operations.

Advanced Vehicle Extrication

This course is designed to provide personnel with an evening lecture on Advanced Vehicle Extrication Techniques and an extensive day of hands-on evolutions that will consist of stabilization and extrication of vehicles on their roofs and sides, under-ride and over-ride evolutions, tunneling, 3rd door evolutions, and multiple advanced scenarios utilizing the fire department?s equipment.

RIT / FAST Awareness & Operations

This course combines the 3 hour lecture with 2 days of hands on training. This course consists of 8 hours of hands on training. Practical evolutions include several techniques for moving the downed FF, FF removals from upper floors, Ladder Bail, Nance Drill, Denver Drill, and more. This course is a must for any firefighter or department dedicated to Saving Our Own! All evolutions revolve around the rescue and removal of downed firefighters. NOTE- This course involves extreme physical activity.

Firefighting in Strip Malls

This 3 hour lecture includes a Powerpoint presentation covering strip mall construction, hazards, and strategy and tactics. This course is excellent for the firefighter, company officer, or Chief officer.

Street Smart Laddering

This course consists of 1 day of hands on training. Practical evolutions include raises and carries, victim rescues via ground ladders, leg lock maneuvers, multiple portable ladder scenarios, and many more pointers for safer and more effective portable ladder operations.
