Andy Biron


Andy Biron, an 11 year member of the fire service, servers as a full-time Firefighter in the City of Manchester, NH. He is assigned to Engine Co. 11 and Truck Co. 1 in the Downtown District of the state's largest city. Andy began his fire service career as an Explorer in Goffstown, NH in 1991. He continued as a Goffstown Call Firefighter for six years, until he was hired by the City of Manchester in February, 2001. Today, Andy's involvement with the Exploring continues as he servers in the roll of Group Captain for the New Hampshire Fire Explorer Training Academy. He is also a Staff Instructor at the New Hampshire Fire Academy in Concord, NH where he works in the Candidate Physical Ability Testing program and numerous firefighter training programs. In 2004 Andy was awarded a Class 3 Medal of Valor for actions taken a fatal fire in Manchester. In 2005 Andy joined "Engine and Truck Ops" in a supporting role at "FIREHOUSE EXPO" held annually in Baltimore, MD. Andy is also an instructor for Mutual-Aid America's, a Non-Profit organization that provides fire training and used equipment for less fortunate Departments in South America. He also serves a Vice President for the New England chapter of FOOLS International, and a Trustee for the board of FOOLS International, a Florida based organization.
