Ray McCormack is a 24 year veteran of the F.D.N.Y. 12 of which as a company officer where he is currently a Lieutenant with Engine 69 in Harlem. McCormack is a New York State Certified Fire Instructor. He lectures frequently on the role of the company officer and Engine and Ladder company operational tactics. He has presented at Firehouse Expo, FDIC, and FDIC East, he is also a HOT instructor concentrating on Live Burns. His articles on firefighting tactics and training have appeared in Fire Engineering, WNYF (With New York Firefighters), Minnesota Fire Chief, Fire Nuggets and Fire Rescue Interactive magazines.
